ABOUT THE BUSH INN

Built in the 16th Century, The Bush Inn still recalls the ambience of those days in its old world bars with bare stone walls, flag stone floors, original oak beams, huge inglenook fireplace and stone spiral staircase to the side of the fireplace.  In these bars, locals and visitors alike have enjoyed traditional ale and good companionship for more than five hundred years!!

BBC SHERLOCK - THE HOUND

8 years ago we were visited by a location scouting team who asked if they could take a look around the Bush Inn.  We get approached quite a lot by S4C and the BBC so we didn’t think too much of it.  However when they returned a week later they asked if they could use the Bush Inn for the next season of Sherlock.  Yep – THE BBC Sherlock. And not only that, we would be featuring in arguably Arthur Conan Doyles most famous story – The Hound of The Baskervilles.  And even more exciting we would get to meet Benedict Cumberbatch  and Martin Freeman.  6 days filming, 60 crew, Hollywood directors, Bafta award winning producers, writers and actors – it was a complete whirlwind but fantastic to watch the finished piece on Sunday January 8th at 9pm on BBC1.  10.4 million viewers!  Can’t pay for advertising like that!
